The Sapporo Summer Festival is a fantastic way to enjoy the short northern summer with a variety of events! With beer gardens, Bon Odori dances, Tanuki Festival, and Susukino Festival, there are four unique themes to enjoy. You can spend the summer evenings with a beer in hand, experience traditional Japanese culture with Bon Odori, shop at the Tanuki Koji Shopping Street, or enjoy the nightlife in Susukino. The summer fun in Sapporo starts here!

Hokuryu Town, located on the west side of Hokkaido, boasts the largest sunflower fields in Japan. With vibrant red and orange flowers in the “World’s Sunflower Corner” and a popular “Sunflower Maze” for children, this festival is perfect for families.

In Otaru, a town with a rich historical atmosphere, you can enjoy a festival celebrating Japan’s traditional summer attire, yukata, and the soothing sounds of wind chimes. With a wind chime tunnel and yukata rental services, you can fully immerse yourself in the summer of Japan.

Spend two days at the top of Tenguyama, enjoying gourmet food and music in the refreshing nature. With craft beer, a fireworks display, and performances of Tenguyama drums, there are plenty of events for both adults and children to enjoy.
